What is the funniest thing that ever happened to you?

Funny strange is undoubtedly when I moved to Denmark aged 30. I arrived with wife and kids and we responded to a house rental ad in the Sunday newspaper. After we moved in, a letter arrived addressed to the president of Copenhagen Astrology Society. It turned out he had just vacated the property. I later became president.

Who or what had the biggest impact on your life?

My Tibetan teacher Tarab Tulku. I was involved with him for 17 years until his death in 2005. His 3-year course on Tibetan Philosophy and Psychology supplied the missing link for understanding the workings of astrology.

Your favorite thing to do?

Steam bath, swimming, sauna – in that order during the cold Copenhagen winter.

What annoys you the most about other people?

They don’t get astrology.

What is your guilty pleasure?

That’s a secret.

What superhero power would you choose?

Invisibility. That way I could be somewhere and not be seen. There’s something about anonymity that appeals to be. Being present without being noticed.

What is your most vivid memory?

I have a lot. Being a young teenage girl learning the basics about astrology while sitting under a big tree in a park. It was so outside what my family is -- traditional, mainstream and Catholic. Oh, and then there’s landing in Canada in September, 2008, naïve and innocent. Leaving behind the green and the warmth of Australia to land in a snowy, wintry country. OMG

What’s the one thing you are most afraid of?

The people I love dying. I lost my mom when I was young.

What’s your favorite movie?

I am a sucker for all those Christmas movies. Also Love Actually. And The Notebook. This reveals how sucky and romantic I am.

What would you change about yourself?

I am generally comfortable in my own skin. But, from an inner perspective, I would change how much I worry about what others think.

Power lifting. Because it symbolizes overcoming massive obstacles. I have Mars trine Saturn so I love lifting heavy things. I love the pain, even if it’s excruciating.

What is your favorite time of day?

I really like dusk, sunset. It’s a time to relax, pour a drink. Kind of a Frank Sinatra type of vibe. Plus people are more attractive at that time of day.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Smokers. I can’t stand cigarette smoke.

Your favorite quote?

If you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want will be the sacrifice. I just don’t remember who said it.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Funny! Listening to a band called Chemical Romance. Makes me feel like a teenager. I love punk/emo music REALLY loud.

Describe an important turning point in your life.

Learning astrology! The profound spiritual system it encompasses, the paradigm shift that occurred in realizing it works, the endless joy of studying and contemplating meaning in life astrology gives.

The day (or maybe the day after) I made the clear decision to study astrology, my downstairs neighbor, who had been clearing out her professor father's books, came upstairs and handed me a book. It was Max Heindel's Message of the Stars.

What’s the last thing that made you smile?

Looking at my husband this morning.

Cheese enchiladas followed by a hot fudge sundae, a piece of chocolate cake or a slice of pie. I have a love affair with sugar. An issue I am working on.

What superhero power would you choose?

I do love super powers. And I’ve wished for this for a number of years. Teleportation. That way I could have lunch in Paris and dinner in Milan.

What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?

I enjoy doing things that are scary. It’s like a door opening that I have to go through. Recently, I auditioned as a stand-up comedian in Burbank. Didn’t realize the people auditioning were REALLY good. After a minute and a half, I fled. Comedy obviously not my thing.

What do you do for fun?

Did I mention I have Moon in Capricorn? I love getting together with my close friends, most of whom are astrologers, and talking astrology.

What do you like most about yourself?

That I really keep going. If I fall on my face, I just get up, dust myself off, and carry on.
