AFA
The American Federation of Scientific Astrologers was founded May 4, 1938 at 11:38 a.m., and the name was later changed to American Federation of Astrologers. AFA's first headquarters, in Washington, DC, was purchased in the fall of 1950. This building was sold in 1975, and the headquarters was moved to Tempe, Arizona, where it occupies a 5,000 sq. ft. building owned by AFA that also houses the organization’s extensive library of books and periodicals. The purposes of the American Federation of Astrologers are education, research, cooperation, and progress.
AFAN
AFAN’s global mission is to enhance, protect, and validate the important role astrologers and astrology have in today’s society.
Media accountability and public information are top priority, on-going projects for AFAN. Through Media Watch AFAN monitors the press and responds, correcting inaccurate or biased print and electronic media accounts.
We vigorously network people with helpful resources and material, including legal information, and the AFAN Legal Information Kit. AFAN’s Legal Information Committee has been extraordinarily successful in changing laws restrictive to the practice of astrology.
ACVA
The American College of Vedic Astrology™(ACVA), located in Sedona, Arizona, is a 501 C3 non-profit educational organization dedicated to teaching the art and science of Vedic Astrology or Jyotish. ACVA’s purpose is to provide the highest quality of education and training in Vedic Astrology to students and professional astrologers worldwide; emphasizing ethics and professionalism in the mastery of the principles and practice of Vedic Astrology. The primary objective of the American College of Vedic Astrology™ is to advance the quality and reach of Vedic Sciences by providing a certification program which utilizes symposia, research and online education. The International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR) is dedicated to advancing astrological education and research, promoting high standards of ethics and competence, and sponsoring the exchange of idea amongst astrologers worldwide.

NCGR
The National Council for Geocosmic Research, Inc., (NCGR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising the standards of astrological education and research. Along with its U.S. membership it includes a growing number of international members and sponsors 30+ local Chaptersin 20 U.S. states and 4 countries. Its Special Interest Groups (SIGs) foster dialog on various astrological specialties and its online education and educational conference bring astrologers from around the world together to grow and to learn together. Our sister organization, NCGR-PAA, allows students to leverage their astrological education into professional certification.
